Age groups by age and no longer by year!

„We are adapting to international standards“

From this season onwards, we will be adapting the age groups - AG for short. The time of the year of birth for the division into age groups is over for us. From now on, the age on the day of registration/trial round will be used to determine the age group for our tournaments. It is therefore possible that a participant is assigned to AG 14 at the beginning of the season and still has to play in AG 16 in the same year. In the following list you can see the age group classification for the

Age group 23 (AG 23) Age 19 - 23 years

     2001 when birthday to the tournament, 2002-2005, 2006 when birthday before the tournament

Age group 18 (AG 18) Age 17 + 18 years

     2006 when birthday to the tournament, 2007, 2008 if birthday before the tournament

Age group 16 (AG 16) Age 15 + 16 years

     2008 when birthday to the tournament, 2009, 2010 if birthday before the tournament

Age group 14 (AG 14) Age 14 years and younger

     2010 when birthday to the tournament, 2011 and younger

Example: Jonathan has his birthday on 15.05.2010 and Emilia has her birthday on 14.08.2010, both register for 2 of our tournaments in April and June. At the tournament in April both will be assigned to the AG 14 Girls. Jonathan has his birthday on 15.05.2010 and is now 15 years old. At the June tournament, Jonathan is assigned to AG 16 Boys and Emilia to AG 14 Girls again. Emilia decides to take part in our German finals in October. As her 15th birthday is in August, she will be assigned to AG 16 Girls at this tournament.
